Yesterday, Fred Thompson withdrew his bid for the Republican parties nomination for President. This is truly disappointing, as Fred was truly the “Clear Conservative Choice”. His withdrawal comes after a 3rd place finish in the South Carolina primary. Fred’s campaign never gained traction because of its limited funds and the mainstream media completely ignoring him. Yesterday was the only time in this entire campaign that they paid any attention to him. It is no secret among conservatives that the media will do whatever it can to stifle conservatism, which is why they hail John McCain and Mike Huckabee as the golden boys of the Republican party. 

Tomorrow, I will be discussing why McCain and Huckabee must be stopped. These two men are liberals to the core and their records must be brought to the attention of true conservatives. 

There are many reasons that I think Fred Thompson is the best choice for the Republican nomination for President in 2008, but plenty of other people have done more homework than I have. So, I am compiling a small list of compelling reasons: 

• He has received a thorough endorsement from Pejman on redstate.com. 
• Thompson thinks that the sun might have something to do with this whole ‘global warming’ thing.
• He Stood up to the moderator of the Des Moines Register Debate, on December 12th.
• He speaks honestly and candidly about the issues and even his opponents.
• The Thompson Tax Plan would: eliminate the AMT, reduce corporate tax rates, give taxpayers the choice to move to a simplified flat-tax. 
• He doesn’t support Amnesty for illegal immigrants and believes in attrition through enforcement. (Listen to his commentary or read his whitepapers)
• Thompson believes the NEA is the biggest impediment to education.
