There are many reasons that I think Fred Thompson is the best choice for the Republican nomination for President in 2008, but plenty of other people have done more homework than I have. So, I am compiling a small list of compelling reasons: 

• He has received a thorough endorsement from Pejman on redstate.com. 
• Thompson thinks that the sun might have something to do with this whole ‘global warming’ thing.
• He Stood up to the moderator of the Des Moines Register Debate, on December 12th.
• He speaks honestly and candidly about the issues and even his opponents.
• The Thompson Tax Plan would: eliminate the AMT, reduce corporate tax rates, give taxpayers the choice to move to a simplified flat-tax. 
• He doesn’t support Amnesty for illegal immigrants and believes in attrition through enforcement. (Listen to his commentary or read his whitepapers)
• Thompson believes the NEA is the biggest impediment to education.
